Bolverk is shown wearing one of 3 loaner helms donated to the Shire (now Barony) of Lions Gate from the Kingdom of the West early in AS X.  Bolverk was the only one in the shire that could wear this helm originally as it was so narrow.  Later it was widened with a car jack and was usable by others.  These early helms were held on with pads of open cell foam forced in between the wearers cheeks and the inside of the helm.
